The switch has been flipped just in time to stream your favorite Christmas movies. GCI's TERRA service has been launched in Kotzebue as of earlier this week and with it, 3G mobile wireless service for Kotzebue residents.
This service will dramatically improve online health, education and government services as well as the broadband data experience for residential and business users, GCI said in a release.
The TERRA — Terrestrial for Every Rural Region in Alaska — project is an ongoing, multiyear effort to bring improved Internet, phone and television service to rural Alaskans, who have relied on subpar connections until now.
